2026 Steelers Preseason Schedule
Three preseason games, two at home, one road trip to Buffalo. The Steelers host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, August 13 at 7 p.m., then the New York Jets on Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m., both at Acrisure Stadium. The preseason closes on Thursday, August 27 at Buffalo’s new Highmark Stadium, 7 p.m. ET.
The Packers game is the one to circle. Mike McCarthy spent 13 seasons in Green Bay, won Super Bowl XLV there, and Aaron Rodgers played 18 years for that franchise before landing in Pittsburgh. Neither of them will be particularly relaxed for this one – or at least Rodgers won’t be. He is many things, but low-key about narrative moments isn’t one of them.
Primetime Games in 2026
Four primetime windows. One at Acrisure Stadium, three on the road.
Week 4 at Cleveland is Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, October 1 at 8:15 p.m. A divisional short-week road game – exactly the kind of game that derails seasons or defines them.
Week 10 in Cincinnati is Sunday Night Football on NBC, November 15 at 8:20 p.m. The Bengals-Steelers series has been the most physical consistent rivalry in the AFC for the past four years. This one comes off Pittsburgh’s bye, which matters.
Week 13 against Houston is Sunday Night Football at Acrisure, December 6 at 8:20 p.m. The Texans knocked Pittsburgh out of the 2025 Wild Card round. December at Acrisure Stadium in primetime, with a revenge narrative already written – it’s the best home game on this schedule.
Week 14 in Jacksonville is Monday Night Football on ESPN/ABC. Date and exact time still TBD at the time of publication.
The NFL Paris Game: Pittsburgh at New Orleans, October 25
Week 7, October 25. Stade de France, Saint-Denis. Kickoff at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, which is 2:30 p.m. in Paris. Airs on NFL Network in the United States.
This is the first regular-season NFL game ever played in France. The league has been expanding its international footprint aggressively – London games since 2007, Mexico City since 2016, Germany since 2022, Ireland in 2025 where Pittsburgh actually hosted the Vikings at Croke Park – but Paris is new territory.
Steelers President Art Rooney II put out a statement calling it “an exciting moment for our organization and for Steelers Nation everywhere.” That’s the kind of thing you say for every international game. What’s actually interesting is the logistical challenge: a 9:30 a.m. kickoff means Pittsburgh’s offense is playing on European time while Saints defensive backs are theoretically doing the same. Neither team has a structural advantage, but the Steelers are serving as the visiting team here, so New Orleans has home designation. Travel packages for fans are available through the Steelers’ official site.
Steelers Home Games at Acrisure Stadium in 2026
Eight home games this season – one more than the standard split in recent years due to the NFL’s rotating 17th-game format. Pittsburgh drew the extra home date in 2026.
Home schedule: Atlanta (Sept. 13), Cincinnati (Sept. 27), Baltimore (Oct. 18), Cleveland (Nov. 1), Denver on Black Friday (Nov. 27), Houston in primetime (Dec. 6), Baltimore again (Dec. 20), Carolina (Dec. 27).
That’s two home games against Baltimore, which almost never happens. The first in Week 6 is an early-season measuring stick. The second in Week 15 will almost certainly have playoff implications – these two teams have a habit of meeting when something is on the line in December.
Tickets are available through steelers.com/tickets and NFL-authorized resellers. Acrisure Stadium is located at 100 Art Rooney Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Home and away parking share lots with the Pittsburgh Pirates, so check the Pirates’ schedule before driving in on a Sunday – same-day conflicts occasionally create congestion.
AFC North Division Games: What the Schedule Means for the Standings
Six division games: two against each of the Ravens, Bengals, and Browns. Pittsburgh holds a 21-7 all-time series lead over the Jets, but in the AFC North, series records are irrelevant – what matters is who wins the division in January.
The Browns show up in Weeks 4 and 8. That’s a road game at Cleveland on Thursday Night Football to open October, followed by a home game November 1. Back-to-back divisional stretches early in the season can set a tone or expose a roster. Pittsburgh won five of its last six against Cleveland heading into 2026.
The Bengals split is Week 3 at home and Week 10 on the road in a Sunday night game. Joe Burrow and the Bengals have been the most dangerous offense Pittsburgh has faced in the division for three consecutive years. The home game in September comes before either team has real film on the other under new coordinators.
The Ravens situation is more complicated. Pittsburgh beat Baltimore in a winner-take-all Week 18 game in January 2026 – a missed field goal by Tyler Loop sealed it. Now they meet twice in the regular season, Weeks 6 and 15, plus a Week 18 road game at M&T Bank Stadium that could again decide the division. Baltimore plays the Steelers like a second season every year. That dynamic doesn’t change because Tomlin is gone.
Bye Week and the Second Half of the Season
Bye week falls in Week 9 – right in the middle of the 18-game schedule. Coming off the bye, Pittsburgh travels to Cincinnati for Sunday Night Football. That is an intentional scheduling move on the NFL’s part: rest the Steelers, then put them in a national window immediately after. Good for ratings, occasionally brutal for teams that don’t manage their bye week well.
The final six weeks of the regular season are genuinely difficult. Philadelphia on the road in November. Houston at home in primetime in December. Monday Night Football in Jacksonville. Two games against Baltimore. The schedule doesn’t soften at the end.
For fantasy football purposes, the Week 9 bye falls early enough that most playoff-bound fantasy rosters can absorb it without catastrophic consequences. Steelers skill players are unavailable that week.
How to Watch Steelers Games in 2026: TV and Streaming
Most games are on CBS. The network holds the AFC package, so the majority of Pittsburgh’s schedule airs there. If you have a TV with an antenna or a cable subscription, CBS is where most Sundays live.
Primetime breakdown: Sunday Night Football games (Weeks 10 and 13) are on NBC. Thursday Night Football in Week 4 and the Black Friday game in Week 12 stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video – no cable option. Monday Night Football in Week 14 airs on ESPN and ABC. The Paris game in Week 7 is on NFL Network only.
For cord-cutters: NFL+ offers streaming on mobile devices for out-of-market fans. Peacock carries NBC’s Sunday Night Football games. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and DirecTV Stream all carry CBS, NBC, ESPN, and ABC, though Amazon Prime Video games require a separate Prime subscription regardless of which live TV bundle you use. NFL Network is not included in all live TV packages – check before Week 7.
Printable Steelers Schedule 2026 and Calendar Download
The official Steelers printable schedule is available at steelers.com/schedule. The page has two options: a PDF formatted for standard 8.5-by-11 paper, and a “Download to Calendar” button that pushes all 18 regular season games directly into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.
To add games to your phone calendar: go to steelers.com/schedule, find the calendar download button near the top of the schedule page, select your calendar app when prompted, and confirm. All 18 games with dates, times, and opponents will populate automatically.
One practical note on the printable PDF: don’t print the Week 15 through 18 portion before mid-November. The NFL’s flex scheduling process can shift kickoff times and occasionally networks for late-season games, and the official PDF updates in real time when changes are announced. A schedule printed in August may have wrong times for December.
The McCarthy Era Begins: 2026 Steelers Season Preview
Mike Tomlin stepped down January 13, 2026, the day after Pittsburgh’s Wild Card loss to Houston. Nineteen seasons, a 193-114-2 regular season record, one Super Bowl title, 13 playoff appearances. He tied Chuck Noll as the franchise’s all-time wins leader on the same day his final season ended. The exit was clean, at least by NFL standards – he announced it rather than waiting to be pushed.
Mike McCarthy takes over. He won Super Bowl XLV in Green Bay in 2011, spent four seasons in Dallas going 49-35 without a playoff win past the divisional round, and now arrives in Pittsburgh with something to prove. His offensive system tends to favor a mobile quarterback who can extend plays – Aaron Rodgers, at this point in his career, is not that. How McCarthy adapts his scheme to a 42-year-old pocket passer will determine whether this team wins 11 games or 8.
Rodgers finished 2025 with 244 passing yards and 4 touchdowns in his Pittsburgh debut against the Jets, and the Steelers went 10-7 for the third straight year at that record. DK Metcalf, acquired in a trade for a second and seventh-round pick plus the Chicago Bears’ first-rounder, is the most dangerous wide receiver Pittsburgh has had since Antonio Brown. Jaylen Warren is the running back the offensive line was built to support. Pat Freiermuth at tight end gives the offense a reliable third-down option.
The defense lost some continuity in the offseason, but Minkah Fitzpatrick is still there. He has been the most consistent player on that side of the ball for four consecutive seasons. The AFC North is still the AFC North – Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Cleveland are not soft outs. But the schedule breaks in Pittsburgh’s favor early, with the extra home game and a bye at a reasonable point in the season. Whether McCarthy can actually get this team past the Wild Card round for the first time since 2016 is the question that will define his Pittsburgh tenure from week one.
2025 Season Results: Where This Team Came From
The 2025 Steelers went 10-7, won the AFC North in the final week, and lost to Houston in the Wild Card round. It was the seventh consecutive postseason loss for Pittsburgh, dating back to their last playoff win in the 2016-17 playoffs.
The season had two genuinely strange moments. Week 16 at Detroit ended with Lions quarterback Jared Goff throwing a fourth-down pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who lateraled back to Goff as he was being tackled – the officials ultimately ruled it incomplete, and Pittsburgh won. Tomlin’s 200th total career win came the same week, against those Lions. Week 18 at Baltimore was decided by Tyler Loop’s missed field goal, which gave the Steelers the AFC North title for the first time since 2020 and ended their four-year drought at the top of the division.
Ben Roethlisberger, Joey Porter Sr., and Maurkice Pouncey were inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor during the Monday Night Football home win over Miami in Week 15. The team drew an average home attendance of 67,440, 18th-highest in the NFL. The Steelers extended their home winning streak on Monday Night Football to 23 games – they haven’t lost a home MNF contest since October 14, 1991.
